Japanese Catering in Ventura County

Okamoto Kitchen caters all over Ventura County with our anime-wrapped Japanese food trucks. We’re out here most weeks, with regular public lunch stops in Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and Oxnard, plus evening events like First Thursdays on C Street in Oxnard. Local schools and venues have booked us too: we’ve served Cal Lutheran University, Moorpark College and events at Camarillo Ranch.

We cater campus events, company lunches, festivals, quinceañeras, birthdays and holiday parties. For bigger crowds we can bring more than one truck.

Two ways to cater

• Food truck on site: our anime-wrapped truck parks at your office, lot or venue and cooks everything to order, so the food is hot and the truck is part of the party.
• Drop-off catering: we bring ready-to-serve Japanese comfort food for meetings, team lunches and parties.

What we serve

Chef Chizuru was born in Tokyo and trained at Le Cordon Bleu. Her menu mixes Japanese comfort-food classics with a few dishes you won’t find anywhere else in the county. Our catering menus are built around the dishes people line up for at the truck: Japan Fried Chicken (JFC), katsu curry sandwiches, gyudon and other rice bowls, poke soba, okonomi fries and cheese mochi sticks. Vegan options are available, and specialty drinks like Thai tea and melon soda can be added.

Oxnard, Ventura, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Moorpark and Port Hueneme, plus all of Los Angeles County. Check the truck schedule to catch us at a stop near you.
