Japanese Catering in the South Bay

Okamoto Kitchen is an anime-inspired Japanese caterer serving the South Bay, from Hawthorne and El Segundo down to Torrance. Aerospace and tech teams here know us well: we regularly bring the truck to SpaceX in Hawthorne, and we’ve catered for Sony, Riot Games, Capcom and Square Enix too.

We also park in Torrance for a public lunch stop and have served the crowds at AniFest in Torrance. Employee appreciation days, office lunches, holiday parties and anime club events are all a great fit for the truck.

Two ways to cater

• Food truck on site: our anime-wrapped truck parks at your office, lot or venue and cooks everything to order, so the food is hot and the truck is part of the party.
• Drop-off catering: we bring ready-to-serve Japanese comfort food for meetings, team lunches and parties.

What we serve

Chef Chizuru was born in Tokyo and trained at Le Cordon Bleu. Everything is cooked fresh by our own crew. Our catering menus are built around the dishes people line up for at the truck: Japan Fried Chicken (JFC), katsu curry sandwiches, gyudon and other rice bowls, poke soba, okonomi fries and cheese mochi sticks. Vegan options are available, and specialty drinks like Thai tea and melon soda can be added.
